Florida quick guide

Clear preparation. Official decisions.

These are general preparedness steps—not live alerts, a shelter reservation, or an evacuation order. Follow official local instructions.

Official evacuation zones

Florida zones and orders are set locally. Check your county emergency-management site for the current map and instruction; SafeZone does not determine your evacuation zone.

Hurricane readiness

Prepare early: medications, identification, insurance and medical documents, food, water, chargers, transportation, mobility equipment, and pet supplies.

Shelters and pets

Shelters open and change by county. Confirm an official source before leaving. Pet, service-animal, accessibility, capacity, and medical-support rules vary by location.

Flood and tornado safety

Do not drive through floodwater. For a tornado warning, move to an interior room on the lowest level away from windows; follow official local instructions.

Emergency boundary

SafeZone does not dispatch responders, determine official zones, or promise current shelter availability. Call 911 directly for immediate danger.
